David F. Brown practices law primarily in the areas of construction and business litigation, administrative law and government relations. Mr. Brown received a dual B.A. in Japanese and Asian Studies at Brigham Young University in 1987, where he also earned a J.D. and Master of Public Administration in 1992. He is licensed to practice law in Nevada, Utah and California, and presently maintains an active practice in Nevada and Utah. Mr. Brown served as a judicial law clerk in Las Vegas, Nevada to Judges Carl Christensen and Stephen Huffaker. He presently serves as prosecutor for the Nevada State Contractors Board and lobbies the legislature on behalf of the Board and other clients. Prior to private practice, Mr Brown served as Vice President/General Counsel for PurCo Fleet Services in Utah. In 2000, Mr. Brown was elected to the Nevada State Assembly and was appointed as Minority Whip in 2002. Mr. Brown is a member of the Frehner family, prominent Southern Nevadans since 1911. He resides in Henderson with his wife Darci and their three children. His interests include his children, local politics, church activities, Asia, and reading. Shawn Morrisppractices primarily in civil litigation, including business and commercial litigation, construction litigation, probate and estate planning. He is admitted to practice in Nevada and Arizona. Shawn earned dual bachelors degrees in Accountancy and Finance in 1994 at Arizona State University and was employed in the General Accounting Office of the State of Arizona. In 1998, he was awarded his J.D. degree at California Western School of Law in San Diego. Rodney S. Woodbury practices primarily in the areas of real estate, corporate law, commercial law, homeowners associations, residential and commercial CC&Rs, water law, construction law, estate planning, and general contracts and transactions. Rod received his B.A. in English from Brigham Young University in 1992. After a brief career as a local public school teacher and high school basketball coach, he returned to BYU’s J. Reuben Clark School of Law where he served as Executive Editor for the Journal of Public Law and received his J.D. in 1999. Steven L. Morris primarily on construction, business, and commercial litigation, collections, and administrative proceedings. He has extensive background in the construction industry. Mr. Morris has also worked as a special agent for the Immigration and Naturalization Service and on the Conflict Panel for the San Bernadino County Public Defender’s office. Steve obtained a B.A. in International Relations from Brigham Young University in 1994 and his J.D. from Gonzaga University Law School in 2000. Monte J. Morris – Of Counsel has practiced law in Nevada for 41 years and practices primarily in the areas of family law, criminal defense, probate, administrative law, landlord/tenant, civil litigation and appellate law. Mr. Morris was awarded his J.D. from the University of Utah in 1964 and is licensed in Nevada and Utah. Between 1965 and 1976, Monte served as a Deputy District Attorney for Clark County and as City Attorney for the City of Henderson and Boulder City. Thereafter, he pursued private practice as a trial attorney until 2000. Mr. Morris has practiced extensively in all courts in the State, including numerous appearances before the Nevada Supreme Court and Federal Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2000, he and his wife, Madeline, took leave to serve a Humanitarian Mission in Indonesia where he taught English at Pacuan University and lectured by invitation on American Jurisprudence to the Indonesian Supreme Court. Monte has been active in the Boy Scouts of America. The Morrises reside in Boulder City and are the proud parents of eight and grandparents of thirty-two and counting. mmorris@wmb-law.net
